WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR SESSION

Safety gear is highly recommended for all skaters. Junior skaters under age 18 are required to wear a helmet and wrist guards at the minimum throughout the lesson (knee and elbow pads are also recommended but not required). Adults can decide what level of protection is right for themselves. If you have questions about protective gear, please reach out, I'm happy to help.

At the start of class we'll talk about the goals for that session, and then spend a few minutes warming up. Most of our skating time will be spent working on a focus area for that session, which typically consists of a series of skills and progressive steps that build towards our goal. We use discussion, demonstration, and a lot of practice with feedback. After skating, a cool down stretch is recommended.
If you're looking for skates or gear, I'm happy to share my 20% discount at Derby/Inline Warehouse with my students!

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class to gear up so that you have the full session time.

Skaters are required to sign a liability waiver before their first class. A parent or legal guardian will need to sign for minors.

Please bring water in a non-glass container. We get warm skating and it's important to stay hydrated. For outdoor classes, sunscreen is also recommended.
